Committee Meeting Monday 16th April

New fixture list with sponsors names approved. Also new fixture card ready for printing.
Pip Evans has offered to do the printing next year at no cost to the club
Paul will be the clubs rep on the Playing Fields Association
Alex McClennan transferred to Kenn He has kindly agreed to continue to represent the club on the league committee
24th June. Pip Evans Charity game. Paul to check the position regarding the bar and to stock up appropriately for the day.
Club house lock has been changed . Keys issued to nominated players and to the Croquet club. They have asked for a second set of keys.
Toby will start to paint the club house from Monday 23rd April. Agreed that white and green are suitable colours.
Toby to check to see if his net is in suitable condition to be used as another practise net.
Andy Dare interested in helping to run the bar and possibly installing another line although it is probably easier to get some poly barrels in.
Henry would like to get together a group of members to help with ground maintenance, watering etc.
Selection will take place after nets on a Wednesday evening. 1st and 2nd team captains and vice captains plus the Sunday captain will select. The aim will be to provide the 1st XI with the strongest side possible but also to maintain continuity within both sides. Players promoted from the seconds will be like for like for those they are replacing in the firsts.
Junior fixture list for the West Dorset league is on the notice board . Fixtures on Thursday evenings. Practices on Mondays at 4pm. Eddie and David Jones will umpire and score.
Other teams from Woodroffe have cup games to be played early season. Eddie to arrange.
First outdoor club practice Wednesday 25th April at 6pm.
Club practice game on Sunday 29th April 2pm. All members encouraged to attend.
League rules state that each team shall have a new ball for each innings. This applies to both first and second teams. Paul will check the details
