Can I just take this opportunity to thank all of our loyal visitors and supporters of the site who make all the 'behind the scenes' work worthwhile.

We started uplyme.com in October 2005 and by the end of that year had recorded nearly a quarter of a million hits. The following year our annual hitrate was up to 830,000. Last year it increased to nearly 1.2 million and this year we are nearly at 1.5 million hits. A fantastic growth rate, due partly to our increasing popularity with Google, the world's most popular search engine. Our busiest month ever was August this year, when we achieved an amazing quater of a million hits in one month.

This year, the uplyme.com webcam was listed with BBC Devon and Dorset and attracts many thousands of visitors, many from overseas. It has been repositioned so that it once again looks out over the playing field, so next season you will be able to keep an eye on the cricket or other events there.

The Uplyme Debate forum continues to interest our visitors, there now being over 1,500 contributions from all kinds of folk, from local kids to seasonal visitors and also potential new villagers. It's great to see the sports results coming in each week and other local announcements and stories. Keep up the good work all you contributors - there's always something new to chat about. Why not make it your New Year Resolution to raise a new topic that interests you - it's very easy ! (if you do have any technical problems, just drop me a line - webmaster@uplyme.com and I will sort it for you)

So thanks again to all of our loyal supporters - have a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Hopefully see you in the forum ?

Webmaster, uplyme.com
it's never too late
