Currently (07:30, 6th Jan) Lyme Rd is open as usual, but some side streets are covered in about an inch of snow, passable with care and dangerous on steep slopes like Tappers Knapp and Church Street. Presumably higher, outlying villages will be experiencing greater volumes of snow.

Mrs. Ethelston's is closed today the 6th Jan due to the weather conditions and Metcheck are currently predicting further falls of snow throughout the day.

The X31 seems to be running at the moment as it was seen passing through the village a few minutes ago heading West.

If anyone sees any trouble spots throughout the day, please share the info here.

We have just been informed that Woodroffe is also closed today 6th, Jan owing to bad weather. The school website is down, but this information comes directly from Mr.Thomas.

Thanks for getting up early to give us this information! It's been great to let the children play in the snow today. Smile

Well, the weather forecast is still predicting further snow over the weekend and it is set to remain cold so you never know. I'd make the most of it while you can !

If anyone builds a snowman - take a picture and email it to me - I'll put it on the front page !

Geoff.
