More traffic news! Temporary 3 way traffic lights are due to be installed at The Hunters lodge junction to replace approx 50 metres of water main, the road closure is for 2 days starting Monday. But I understand that this may be delayed either until Wednesday, Thursday or until the following week.

The road works have started but still no news on when (if) the traffic lights will be installed.

The good news is they have given up on lights there and the work is near completion ! so maybe by tomorrow they will be gone!!! But I see new signs by the village hall for road works next week.

Any idea what they will be doing in Lyme Rd ?
Maybe putting in 20MPH signs and some speed bumps Smile

They are putting speed bumps at some point but not sure where, as for a twenty limit should have been done years ago but it's unenforceable! A one way system for Gore and Whalley lanes would be good.

The Parish Council has contacted uplyme.com to say "They are putting in a raised table over half term, to make the crossing safer for the children"

It seems there are more details on the Parish Council website.
