|
|
Approaching the end of my current mobile phone contract, I was wondering which network seems to offer the best coverage in and around the village, preferably with 3G.
I have been on Vodafone, which seems ok in the middle of the village (not 3G though), but increasingly poor as you move to the north side of the village.
Anyone using the other providers care to comment on their service ?

I use 'T-Mobile' and the reception around Rocombe, and in Lyme itself, is rubbish.
My wife uses 'T-Mobile' as well, and her reception is perfect.
Don't suppose that helps you much, does it ? _________________ I intend to live forever: - so far so good. |

I'm on Orange it's OK ish but appears to have holes in the coverage, Back garden ok house OK but not kitchen, Village OK but varies as you move North and at Hunters Lodge disappears to come back East or West of junction. In Lyme Regis nothing from the post office to The Hub and not much on the front by shelters. PS ans thats with auto switch from Orange to T mobile _________________ vous tous qui passez ici souvenez-vous |

Vodafone have applied for planning consent to upgrade the Charmouth Road Carpark mast to 3G so if that goes through it might improve things in that direction. |

Thanks everyone for the useful comments. Sounds like there is not an obvious 100% winner really unless Vodafone gets its 3G upgrade permission for the Lyme tower, but then I'm not at all sure that mast is 'visible' from much, if any of Uplyme ?
