The current road situation is that the road to Hunters Lodge is blocked north of Cathole by a fallen tree. The main road through the village is blocked at the village hall by the Lym, which has flooded reportedly due to a blocked culvert at bottom of Lime Kiln Lane/Cooks Mead. No reports of blockages to the south, also the lane up to the A35 from Church Street is open.

Just heard about all the floods - so sad to hear.

Thinking of you all & hope you're all ok.

Hi Lucy,

Thanks for your very kind thoughts. We are getting back to normal now, though I think a few houses got flooded and had to be pumped out by the Fire Brigade.

I believe the road north to Raymond's Hill is still completely blocked north of Cathole - rumours of a 'landslide'.

Geoff.

Just to say the road north out of the village to Raymonds Hill (B3165) is now open again. Looks like a large part of the bank gave way and dumped a tree across the road.
All been cleared up now, though a certain amount of care is still required due to debris and large stones on the road.
There are also several large potholes and a piece of road surface that's been forced upwards by the water pressure, on main road, opposite the bottom of Yawl Hill Lane. It is currently coned off.

Linda, It was quite bad in places on Saturday, but seems to have sorted itself out now. I think some people suffered quite badly, but most got away with it.
