|The Council's emergency contact point in case of flooding etc. is Cllr Mason, 01297 445847. In a real emergency (life or health endangering), you must call 999. For highways problems, the number to call is 0845 155 1004, which will direct you to the right number to call if it is unmanned. County Councillor Jim Knight has also offered to take calls.
Flooding images The Flood Working Party is collecting images for use in its efforts to get prevention works done. If you have any pictures, especially of the main road, Church Street, Cuckoo Lane etc, and would be willing to share them, please email them to the Clerk to add to the flood gallery pages. You can also send any reports of damage to the same address.
Sandbags: Please contact Councillors Turner, Pratt or Frost who keep empty sandbags at home. See the Councillors page for contact details. Councillor Pratt also has sand. Each bag takes almost a bag of builder's sand if you wish to get in your own supplies from a local builders' merchant to keep at home: the bags should not be kept full as they soon rot.
If there is another flood, the Council's emergency team will be out working, so please be considerate and patient if you can't get assistance immediately.
