Geoff’s “Islam and the Mohammed Cartoons” was a very brave subject to tackle. I have made several attempts to follow up but on each occasion I have had to abandon it for fear of blaspheming every religion under the sun. I can understand why nobody has responded. It looks like religion is a taboo subject on this forum. Very few people have even viewed the post Sad

Another taboo subject seems to be personal planning applications. Two that I started on Laurence and Cathy Anholt’s proposed development and Steve and Wendy Gardener’s picnic area, although being viewed on 249 occasions, still have received no replies. It seems that we are all a little too polite Confused

Of course on reflection it is easier to pose these questions than follow them up. The proposer can introduce his subject diplomatically sitting on the fence, it is he who responds who is likely to take sides and offend.
