Why are you so modest? Surprised

You bravely challenge the speed limits, and unselfishly create a dangerous environment for all who might like to walk, cycle or even just live on Lyme Road. Cool

Who are you? Don't hide your lights under your collective bushels! After all you have coped admirably with the 'persecution' (Lyme News) of having the local constabulary actually checking your speed!! Shocked

Stand up and be counted! Let us congratulate you for your tireless (sic) work in flouting the law and ignoring the feelings and safety of the rest of your community. Razz

(Some may think this is not helpful but how many accidents will it take? Oh yes, I think the official trigger is something lke 3 deaths before value for money is seen in taking action.)

Reaching that will be something you can all be proud of Exclamation

You might even make the news, perhaps even posthumously..........

I see the work in Lyme Rd is coming to an end now so presumably the traffic lights will be going and the speed of traffic will return to the usual 40+ mph (and up to an extimated 50+mph on occasions late at night).

Firstly, we need more repeater signs (whether or not they are required by law) to remind drivers coming out of the village heading North that they are still in a 30 zone even though it may not look like it to the uneducated (or disinterested) eye.

I quite seriously wonder if the solution is to park some vehicles on the road - obviously away from junctions or hazards - and create our own quite legal 'village gate' ?
