Overnight on Wed the 5th April, a yellow JCB type digger was stolen from the field opposite Mayfield in Lyme Rd (near to the lane for Lymewood Nursing Home).

The vehicle is a New Holland 85, wheeled digger - registration P404 ADV and had a sticker in the windscreen saying 'Westcountry Machinery'
Any information will be treated in confidence and may be given direct to the owner on 443687 or the Axminster police on 444777.

I have thought that more interesting and active places could have been chosen for siting of the village web camera for I have yet to see anyone on the field whenever I have looked. Roll on cricket, the fete and the summer show.

Having said that the most important thing that should have been seen on the camera would have been the theft of the digger. Shame it was dark or Geoff would have had a scoop

The action up here is even slower unless you want to see the weeds grow.

I suppose I could direct a web-camera across the valley onto Strawberry Field and the golf practice field. But if they donít get planning permission that would not prove an action packed scene. Wink

By the way Geoff canít you offer your services to Lyme for they have been promising a web-camera on the Cobb for years now. Much the same for the town council website. They speak about and promise such things and complete with financial backing still donít come up with the goods. Geoff with probably limited funds just does it. Smile
