I'm really surprised that nowhere on your excellent site is there mention of the village's fantastic football team! For a village of such a size to have a team that plies its trade in Division 1 is a super achievement, and it surely should be something that is celebrated, or at least covered! Cricket is a super game, no doubt, but what can the avid fans sport fans on this site read in the cold winter months??
Very Happy It's bad enough playing your socks off every saturday, only then to find that you get less news space than the Lyme Under 8 in the Lyme news!

Hi Gilly,

Thanks for your interest in uplyme.com and for your kind comments. There are actually several pages on the site for village footie, but maybe I have hidden them too well Confused
From the home page, click on 'village life' and then on 'sports'.

Crusaders under-13's football team: http://www.uplyme.com/crusaders.htm

Uplyme FC: http://www.uplyme.com/football_club.htm

This years May 1st. village footie match: http://www.uplyme.com/1st_may_2006.htm

If anyone from the team would like to write in with footie match reports each week, I'd be more than happy to publish them on the site for all to read and yes, if you would like to write a footie blog every now and then, I'd be very happy to set it up for you to have a go.

All the best,
Geoff.

Geoff; really sorry for not surfing too deep! Hope nobody thought it was a criticism. Embarassed
I might think about the review though, Donna
We certainly have some brilliant fans who come down regularly who might contribute to this site, and wouldn't it be great for more young players to be recognised for their efforts by seeing a positive review on this super site? it might even generate more interest for new players.
Very Happy

Thanks Gilly, that's no problem at all - great to get feedback and suggestions at any time Very Happy

Yes, if any fans or members wanted to contribute I'd be happy to assist in any way. The best thing you can do is to mention uplyme.com to your freinds and get them to contribute as well.

If there was enough interest, I could set up a new topic within the forum just for the football club so members, fans, players and officials could discuss club topics.

All the best,
Geoff.
