|The Uplyme Morris Men are now emerging from the Winter practise season ready to perform at various events and occasions throughout the Summer.
Our first outing is the traditional Mayday dawn dance at Lambert's Castle, celebrating the pagan festival of Beltane and welcoming back the Sun ready for a great Summer. The dancing is always followed by a hearty breakfast for members at a member's house.
Anyone who happens to be up and about at 05:30 next Thursday will be very welcome to come and witness an incredible spectacle. (There may even be lifts available for a limited number of people)
Uplyme Morris was formed by Uplyme locals in 1990 and (apart from a short break of about a decade) have been performing continuously ever since to the delight, fright and bemusement of onlookers.
As always, if anyone is interested in finding out more about the Uplyme Morris Men, please contact the Squire on 446011 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org - no riff-raff
it's never too late
