Is it only us getting a call *every single day* from someone in India claiming that they are from a computer company wanting to fix my Windows computer or something? Any ideas how to prevent this from happening?

Have you tried registering with the 'Telephone Preference Service' (TPS).
http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/.
The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is a free service. It is the official central opt out register on which you can record your preference not to receive unsolicited sales or marketing calls. It is a legal requirement that all organisations (including charities, voluntary organisations and political parties) do not make such calls to numbers registered on the TPS unless they have your consent to do so.

TPS is only applicable to calls originating within the UK, the EU directive on privacy applies to EU call centres but once they call from outside the EU there is only one course of action! Don't answer any calls that don't display a caller ID you can block calls that don't display a caller ID but that only works for calls placed from the UK network.
