I hear that the long planned move of the post office will happen tomorrow. When getting diesel today I was told the garage will be closed tomorrow AM until about 12 ish to allow the swap over to happen, so if you need fuel get it today. I have no idea what the status of the post office will be?

Do you think the fuel will still be as expensive? I'd prefer to buy it here in Uplyme, but it's always more expensive than the one in Lyme Road, in Axminster.

Likewise, we would prefer to shop locally, but find (assuming you would not stoop to supporting the evil Tesco) that the cheapest fuel is usually at Kilmington (A35).

I try to buy my fuel there when I come back from a weekend away I often only have enough fuel just to get home with a few miles to spare so often put about 70 ltrs in!

It's my understanding that the profit margin on fuel is SFA as its nearly all tax and duty.

I hope the swap works and we continue to have a village shop, post office and fuel station, only time will tell.

Takes place on 14th February although I believe there are some concerns about whether there will be sufficient room!
