|Minutes of the Committee meeting held on 20th August.

Present D Wellman, E Clarke, D Jones, D Norman, S Howe
Minutes of previous meeting 23rd July. Accepted
Repairs. EC to get quote for repair of fire door and ask Rod Holmes to fix sink leak, blocked urinal and cracked window. S Howe to ask Golf Club for help to service the roller and to supervise work on the square at the end of the season.
Carpet. DW to contact Adam Clarke to see if a deal could be done with Axminster carpets.
DJ has written to the village hall committee to see if there is any financial help available.
Captains report No captains present.
A/C £5653.41 inc grant of £4000 for artificial wicket. Bills to be paid: Bar bill, and £450 on 100 club. Saving A/C £2397
Monies to be passed onto treasurer:
£80 Caddy Golf Day gift. Letter of thanks to be sent to Russell Caddy.DW
£240 gift from Mike Hankey DJ. Letter of thanks to be sent.
Monies from Lifeboat match and Saturday match fees. RH and DW
Presidents Day 2nd September 2pm. DW and SB to select teams. Christine to be asked to do tea for £80. Invites sent to sponsors by S Howe and Vice presidents by D Jones.
Friday 28th September. 7 for 7.30 pm at the Golf Club. Tickets £20 per head. Captains to collect numbers and or monies. Rob Thom to be asked to collect monies on the night. Invite to be sent to Cheese Monger and wife to present Mongoose bat and signed shirt. S Howe to be master of ceremonies and to bring more memorabilia to auction. Award voting forms available in the club. Could all members complete their form asap and leave in box by the bar.

AOB DJ reported that the trustees were happy with state of the ground. David will request that the field and the wicket are both weeded and fed during the autumn.
He will also report the broken roof tile to the village hall committee.
