Just seen that the new East Devon ocal Plan,
http://www.eastdevon.gov.uk/publicationdraftnewlocalplan.pdf
suggests building 20 new houses in Uplyme.
Not sure if that includes the current ones being built in the flood plaines by the village hall, but I think it means an extra 20.

Page 247 indicates that these 20 are in addition to seven dwellings where construction had begun before 30 September 2012. Although I was under the impression that the development just north of the village hall was for eight dwellings.

You are correct John. This is for 20 houses excluding the new affordable terraces in construction, and also excludes any "windfall" developments e.g. in people's gardens.

This is just a planned number and does not mean that many will actually get built, or indeed that more will not.
