 Uplyme's
very successful free house village pub offers plenty of parking and a
spacious, comfortable bar and restaurant. A friendly welcome
awaits locals and visitors alike.
The riverside
garden, traditional skittle alley and tea gardens offer an
excellent family sitting area and Steve, Wendy and the rest of the
Gardener family are always ready to welcome you and serve a good range
of real ales and excellent home-cooked food. In the Summer,
cream teas are served in the riverside meadow over the footbridge.
On Tuesday
evenings, Steve operates a convenient 'take-away' service, where traditional
fish and chips, or pizza etc can be ordered for taking home.
Traditional Sunday lunch is very popular and booking is
advisable. On Tuesday lunchtimes, the Talbot offers a
special senior citizen's special luncheon accompanied by live old-time
piano music.

The Talbot is
home to numerous, crack-teams of skittlers and expert pool and darts
players. Pub quizzes are organised in the Winter and many
sporting events are screened on the big screen via Sky and
Setanta. |
